#Indivisible on Election Day!

Happy Election Day to all my US readers!  No matter what your political affiliation is, and no matter whether you live in a red state, blue state, or swing state, I hope you take the time today to vote!  Despite division and disagreements, today is a day to celebrate our country and to join our fellow citizens to carry out our civic duty with a sense of pride and patriotism.  I know not everyone gets so jazzed about the act of voting, but I find it inspiring.

Also, just FYI, today participating Starbucks locations are giving out a free Indivisible bracelet in honor of Election Day!  So if you pick up a delicious peppermint mocha (or any other coffee beverage), your barista may also hand you one of these nifty little things:

The bracelets are complimentary today, but they are available any day with a $5 donation to the Create Jobs for USA program, which: “provides capital grants to select Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFIs). The CDFIs then provide financing to underserved community businesses which include small business loans, community center financing, housing project financing and microfinance.”  Find out more about the program at www.createjobsforusa.org.  I will be wearing my Indivisible bracelet today with pride!

Also, if you are a Foursquare user, don’t forget to check in to your polling place (or shout #ivoted at any check-in) to get your 2012 Election Day badge!
